Well Attended Researchers´ Night

More than a thousand children and young people visited Researchers´ Night which was held in Runavík last Friday.

Many school classes especially from Eysturoy listened to presentations from researchers and visited exhibitions from research institutes and companies.

Also more than 500 watched presentations online.

19 researchers gave presentations on their research. After the presentations there was an elevator pitch competition, the mayor of Runavík held a speech, and this year´s media prize was handed.

Jóhannis Danielsen, Head of Seabird Department at the Marine Research Institute won the elevator pitch competition. The media prize was given to Maria Skaalum Petersen, Research Leader at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University.
