The Science Council adopts National Research Policy

On a meeting 28 Janyary 2011, the Faroese Science Council adopted the first National Research Policy for the Faroe Islands.The headline for the policy is Knowledge & Growth.

The policy sets the framework for the joint effort of the political system, the research community and the administration to organize and strenghten Faroese research the next 5 years.

The Government has been given the task to implement the policy in close cooperation with the Science Council and with guidance from the Research Council. The Science Council called upon the Faroese Government to ensure political consensus on the implementation of the policy.
