New Government prioritizes research

The Research Council welcomes the new Government's plans to prioritize research. Following the agreement made by the coalition parties, there are high hopes for a massive raise of funds for research in the Faroe Islands as well as funds for partizipation in the European FP7. 

We expect the newly established Scientific Council to meet shortly. There will be opportunities for the Government  representatives from the Research Institutions and the Industry to exchange views on future development in this area.
