The effects of Covid-19 on Faroese fisheries and aquaculture, and the implications for the Faroese economy

Resumé The overall objective is to analyse the impact of Covid-19 on Faroese fisheries and aquaculture companies and the implications for the Faroese economy. The economic and structural consequences of Covid-19 will be analysed based on semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders in these industries. The challenges and opportunities arising from Covid-19 will be identified and recommendations on potential steps to increase the resilience of the Faroese seafood sector and the economy as a whole will be put forward.
